Space Fight Announces New EP ‘Hyperspeed’ and Shares Single “Is It All”
Indie pop band Space Fight has released their new single “Is It All,” from their forthcoming EP ‘Hyperspeed,’ which is due out in March.
Today, Space Fight, the indie pop act headed by vocalist Spen Miles is announcing its brand new EP, Hyperspeed (due out March 22nd). In celebration of the announcement, the trio is releasing the first single from the EP, “Is It All.” It’s a burst of ’80s-inspired indie-synth pop reminiscent of the late aughts.
The follow-up to 2022’s LP Do You Dream In The Daylight, the EP explores a darker and more synth-focused sound. It was produced by the band and features four new original songs. There is also a remix by renowned lo-fi producer Allem Iversom. The EP’s non-remix tracks were mixed and mastered by Math Bishop (U2, The Killers, Two Door Cinema Club), except track four, mixed by Harris Cole.
Following today’s festivities, Space Flight will be playing a live show at Tierney’s in Montclair, New Jersey, on January 12th in support of the new single!
Space Fight was formed by three friends (two Brits, one American) in a London pub over a pint back in 2010. Not long after, they appeared at the Camden Crawl Festival, toured the UK a few times, (once as support for Ra Ra Riot), were featured on BBC6 Music, and signed a record deal for their debut LP in 2013. After a long hiatus, (and once they were locked in their homes in 2020), work on a sophomore album, Do You Dream In The Daylight, finally commenced. The album was released in July 2022 and was described by Under the Radar Magazine as “a dazzling meld of indie pop.”
Space Fight’s latest EP, Hyperspeed, is due out March 22, 2023.
