Bite The Hand Readies Fans for Upcoming EP ‘Brutal By Design’

Bite The Hand announces Brutal By Design, their forthcoming EP set for release on March 8th through Big Bite Records. On Brutal By Design, Bite The Hand creates a thrashy frenzy across five tracks. The first taste comes in the form of the pissed-off single “Day Of Pain,” out now with a crushing video directed and produced by guitarist Timmy Lodhi. Fans can also snag the EP on cassette tape while supplies last, but the band is also promoting the digital EP download for non-cassette enthusiasts!

Bite The Hand is the next band primed to make waves from the Bay Area’s burgeoning hardcore scene. Formed in 2022, the five-piece released their EP, Down Comes the Bay, in October of that year, introducing a gripping, sociopolitically charged sound.

Sharing members with Spiritual Cramp, State Faults, and Absinthe Father, every member of Bite The Hand, masterminded by Lodhi, has performed for over a decade. Mixed by Andy Nelson at Bricktop Recording and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege, Brutal By Design has a sonic drive that draws from the bounce of classic California hardcore bands and infuses a sharp, tough, full sound.

Lyrically, the songs range from addressing class struggle and racial inequality to looking back with regret and acceptance of self. The record is just as furious as the band’s live show, and they’ve already shared the stage with peers like Sabertooth Zombie, Big Boy, and Initiate. With Brutal By Design, Bite The Hand has created an urgent, honest, riff-filled EP meant to rile you up and leave you wanting more!
