Explosions In The Sky have just announced a new slew of dates in continued support of End, their recently released first new album in seven years. Long renowned for their cathartic and euphoric live shows, the band’s new dates pick up where they left off on their rapturously received Fall tour dates across the US’s eastern and Midwestern quadrants and subsequent European run, kicking off with a pair of dates in Austin before turning their focus on the west coast and southwest in addition to a handful of dates in Asia. As with the previous dates, the band are paying homage to their humble beginnings (when they got early breaks as a local opener for big touring acts like Fugazi and Built To Spill) by having promoters of each headlining concert curate local opening acts rather than selecting one established support band for the entire tour, embodying the album’s thematic embrace of the cycle of life.
