New England extreme metal powerhouse Escuela Grind will release the new EP, DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL, on January 12, 2024, via MNRK Heavy. Recorded with Will Killingsworth, mixed by the GRAMMY-winning Kurt Ballou (High on Fire), and mastered by Nick Townsend (Cheap Trick, Dr. Dre), the EP houses four new songs, including the lead cut, “Ball and Chain,” and “Meat Magnet,” featuring a guest appearance by Napalm Death vocalist Barney Greenway.

In sync with the release of DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL, Escuela Grind will launch a U.S. headlining tour on January 10. The five-week, 39-city winter trek will crisscross the country, running through February 17. Support on the Escuela Grind tour will be provided by Take Offense, Come Meirda, Slow Pulse, Bonginator, Frog Mallet, and Brat.

Vocalist Katerina Economou says:

“AMERICA! We are coming to crush more poser flesh under our New Balances and Nikes under the command of Big Homo. We are so thrilled to have a wildly diverse range of bands touring with us and there’s a bunch of cities we haven’t been to in a while, so we’re stoked to throw down with all of you. We’ll be playing a bunch of new material, including our new EP, and stuff from the upcoming album. This is your chance to hear the new shit before anyone else. We’ve been grinding hard on the road all year, and this is our first headliner since last April so expect a wilder, more skull cracking Escuela Grind experience. Be there. Karate kick your friends, get crushed in a wall of death, stage dive onto a teenager and show up with a black eye and broken nose at work the next day. This is going to be fucking wild. This is grinding deathviolence for the girls, the gays and the theys…and the lifers. See you there.”

Escuela Grind just dropped a video for its new song, “Ball and Chain,” directed by Michael Jari Davidson (Alice in Chains) and recorded at a recent festival performance in Mexico City.
