Ghost Con UK Announce Debut Halloween Convention in Sheffield

The world’s first convention dedicated to the band Ghost will happen in the UK this Halloween in Sheffield. The unofficial fan organised event will take over the entire Corporation venue with four spaces for performances, galleries, exhibits and a market!

Ghost Con UK launched this May with a Masquerade Ball in a cave, named The Devil’s Arse. A grand occasion in a most opulent of settings, what a scene for the inaugural spring ball.

Speaking about the community Ghost’s Tobias Forge said: “I’m eternally grateful for these people who want to partake in and expand our community.”

Ghost Con UK is inspired by the former KISS Expo and the many popular SciFi and Comic Cons, plus the recent Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd exhibitions. With such a large and growing world of lore, art and memorabilia, and a hugely dedicated fanbase, it was the logical next step to take for the conventions founder, band leader of UK Ghost tribute, Popestars.

Attractions set for the convention include:

Live: Performances from tribute acts to Ghost (Popestars), Rammstein (Mordenstein), and Misfits (Famous Monsters). Plus electro/metal solo outift, Vulgarithm.

Cosplay: Catwalk, awards, and performances including compare Drag King, Cardinal Copier.

Market: Including Ghost inspired tailor, Bolts of Rohan, Birmingham horror brand, Nasty Clothing, features from horror costume shop, Mad About Horror, music merchandiser EMP, and more!

Gallery and Exhibition: Displaying original and fan artwork along with displays of costumes, memorabilia, and merchandise.

Plus: Photo booth, cocktails, partner discounts, food and drink vendors, tarot readings, and anything else we can find along the way!

The convention also promises cosplay events, including best dressed competitions in which you can catwalk your getup be it full regala or your Sunday casuals, whatever makes you comfortable, rest assured this will be a space for you to express yourself safely. Whilst this event is set at a 14+ age limit, we’ll strive to make it an all ages access as much as possible at future events.
