Wage War (w/ Nothing, Nowhere & Spite) Bring the Heat to Worcester Palladium [Photos]
Wage War brought the “Manic” to Worcester Palladium on May 12th with bands Nothing, Nowhere and Spite. What else can we say? It was a killer show!
It’s a Friday night, and Wage War brought the “Manic” to the Worcester Palladium on May 12th with bands Nothing, Nowhere and Spite. I can’t wait to talk about this show!
Spite is a deathcore band from California, and they’re not for the faint of heart. The heaviest band on the bill and they didn’t leave any moment for the pit to stand still. They opened the night with “Lord of the Upside Down” and “Caved In,” then played six more songs after. Spite’s set consisted of breakdowns and a busy mosh pit with many crowd surfers going over the barricade.
Massachusetts-based band Nothing, Nowhere had a homecoming show and they did not disappoint! It’s been quite a journey watching this band grow into the band they are now. I remember finding them opening up for Real Friends back in the Spring of 2017 and falling in love with their sound. When I learned that they were from MA, my mind was blown, and I’ve been following their music evolution since!
Nothing, Nowhere started the night with the first three songs coming off their newest album, Void Eternal, with songs “THIRST4VIOLENCE,” “PSYCHO_PSYCHIATRY,” and “SUICIDE_PACT.” Their performance consisted of old and new songs alike. Throughout the night, vocalist Joe Mulherin kept shouting out his hometown of Foxboro and the 508 (which is an area code in MA). They ended their night with their song “death,” and went out with a bang with the crowd shouting “ENCORE!” after everyone left the stage. I’m definitely disappointed that they couldn’t do a few more songs!
Now the time has come for Wage War! The palladium date was their biggest headliner show to date and I’ve seen this band countless times at this venue. Wage War opened with their songs off their newest release, “Relapse” and “Teeth.” They played for an hour and a half with most of the songs off Manic and other older songs. Wage War switched up from their mosh-worthy songs to a few ballads that had the audience singing along with vocalist Briton Bond. Their encore consisted of a stripped version of “Johnny Cash” and then switching it back to “Manic.”
The Manic Tour is coming to an end in about a week. Grad those tickets if you haven’t yet! It’s hours’ worth of fun, moshing and singing your heart out!
