Alex Blocker’s “A Rose From The North” Gives the All-Ride Feels this Halloween
Alex Blocker always knows how to keep his listeners on the qui vive with his upcoming Alternative R&B single, “A Rose From The North,” out October 31st.
Alex Blocker, the versatile artist-producer, songwriter, and violinist from Chicago, now based in Denver, always knows how to keep his listeners on the qui vive with his upcoming Alternative R&B single “A Rose From The North” out October 31st. One way to make Halloween perfectly chilly! “A Rose From The North” is a ballad and a change of pace from everything else on Blocker’s Meet Me by the Lake project. The light keys’ soft vocal melodies are given an ominous undertone with synthesizers and Blocker’s violin.
“A Rose From The North” keep listeners at all ears as Alex puts them on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The song and music video, directed by Tucker Horan and Alex Blocker, shows a touch of Alex’s authenticity and ingenious display, leaving his audience thrilled.
Alex Blocker breaks boundaries with his genre-fusing contemporary music style that combines R&B, Hip-Hop, and Jazz elements. Influenced by his Chicago roots, Blocker has expressed musical ingenuity as a producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist on seven previous releases. He began his music career producing and recording at YouMedia, an urban creative space in Chicago, with previous alumni such as Chance The Rapper, Noname, and others. He has shared stages with performers such as Gramatik, Boombox, Nappy Roots, Masta Ace, and more.
