The Big Takeover Tease Fifth Album ‘Spilling Water’ with New Single “Where Did I Go Wrong?”
New York-based group The Big Takeover continues to tease their upcoming fifth studio recording Spilling Water and have unveiled the new single, “Where Did I Go Wrong?.” The song is the second shared from Spilling Water and highlights the band’s talented brass section and rolling rhythmic flow over which Jamaican-born singer/songwriter Nee Nee Rushie shines so bright. Speaking of the new track, Rushie commented, “‘Where Did I Go Wrong?’ is a personal experience about being rejected by someone that you know wants to be with you. It explores the complication of feeling someone pushing you away, but reaching out to you at the same time.”
The band will continue to perform select dates over the coming months, with the Sugarshack EP set for release on December 13, a live album which highlights The Big Takeover’s 2018 performance at the Sugarshack Acoustic Live Music Series.
