British/Colombian Latina MeMe Detroit has dropped her new single “Get Down On With Me” that will be featured on her and her band’s new EP. The Birmingham-based MeMe was raised on the outskirts of Stratford-Upon-Avon UK and discovered music through a family generational box of vinyl records. This helped motivate her into becoming interested in poetry and songwriting which has resulted in her own musical career. She now leads a band called MeMe Detroit that now features two other members. They are relatively new to the scene, having just started in 2016, but the three-piece already has played over 200 shows. The band’s debut was also released in 2016, Live To Love You’ll Love To Live and production is now well underway on the band’s next EP, due out in November. Previous support slots include bands such as Bad Touch, Laurence Jones, Fun Lovin’ Criminals and Asylums.
