Led by Adam Lytle, Quicksilver Daydream is an experimental psychedelic-folk band with a new track called “Coyote Spirit Child.” Drawing from a deep pool of influences such as Pearls Before Swine and The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band to Ennio Morricone and Baudelair, Quicksilver Daydream combine brooding, surrealistic lyrics with a mix of strings, synthesizers, soaring guitars, and reverberating vocals.

When discussing the track, vocalist/composer Adam Lytle said, “Coyote Spirit Child’ extols the spiritual benefits of living in tune with the natural world – traveling beneath open skies, listening to the rivers song, and being conscious of our place in the cosmos. The music was written over the course of several months, evolving out of extended motif-based jams. Letting instincts be our guide, the collective approach to development and exploration evoked a kinetic energy that echoed the lyrical subject matter. The song serves as a thematic companion to our previous single Ferryman, in which the subject leaves his or her belongings behind and learns “to read the patterns of the tide” on the journey towards spiritual awakening. In Coyote Spirit Child, the character has achieved awakening. She has opened her eyes and ears to the universe, gaining wisdom, and thus freedom, in return.”
