Awaken I Am have released a stream of their latest track “Black Dreams,” from their latest record Blind Love.
Awaken I Am have released a stream of their latest track “Black Dreams,” from their latest record Blind Love. The band recorded the album with producer Taylor Larson (From First To Last, I See Stars, Periphery), which according to lead singer Adam Douglas, “is an impassioned record about relationships and being blind to another’s faults – and our struggles to look past our mistakes.”
“Black Dreams’ is written about a person trying to climb their way out of a place of depression and anxiety,” commented Douglas. “In times like this, you feel like you have lost yourself and so you push people away, looking for an escape by making irrational decisions. You soon realize the people who cared know you better than you know yourself.”
