Florence, KY-based post-hardcore band Softspoken have debuted their new song “Wanderer.” Taken from the group’s forthcoming We Are Triumphant Records debut release, the Pathways EP, the song is a meshing of rock and post-metal. Pathways is due out in March of 2017 and was produced at Chango Studios by Cameron Mizell.

“We use different time signatures,” vocalist Chris Wethington notes of the music. “We primarily sing over heavier parts where screaming is the norm.”

He elaborated further on the meaning behind the song:

“‘Wanderer,’ is really about putting yourself in someone else’s shoes who’s struggling to meet their needs, who’s fighting or running from a problem, who’s struggled and given up, or been given up on, etc. and trying to see the world from their eyes. We’re all people and we’re all connected.”
