The Unravelling – “Revolt” [Free Song Download]
On their latest single “Revolt,” nothing has changed with The Unravelling’s blend of industrial, ambient electronic, and hard rock. In fact, they sound as fresh and focused as ever.
We’ve previously described this group’s music as “overflowing with a bloodthirsty passion” and we’re stoked to say that, on their latest single “Revolt,” nothing has changed with The Unravelling’s blend of industrial, ambient electronic, and hard rock. The duo are super-talented and have endured a lot yet remain as fresh and focused as ever. Hit PLAY!
Normally we’d write something unique about the group, but their story is amazing and we though we’d let them tell it… as such: “The band were acclaimed for their debut 13 Arcane Hymns until lead vocalist Steve Moore was diagnosed with cancer in 2011. He was forced to spend the next year and a half in surgery and recovery, thus sending his collaborative partnership with the project’s founder and instrumentalist, Gustavo De Beauville, into a hiatus.
Following Moore’s recent recovery, The Unravelling are now back and more focused than ever. It is fitting that the newest song from Calgary’s heavy rock heroes is called ‘Revolt.’ Moore explains: ‘The lyrics to ‘Revolt’ convey a rejection of the false and a need for inner change. This is an inner revolt that we are talking about.'”
