The Apex are a Windsor, Ontario-based quintet who refer to their music as “ghetto tech.” The guys are dropping their debut album, today, Feb 21st, 2015, and listeners can expect loud and abrasive, albeit highly technical metal. More details below, but first check out a stream and free download of the band’s song “Glass Walls.”
The Apex came together in August of 2013 when the members, each of whom came from the Ontario metal community, decided to take their music further and create a unique homegrown sound that they could call their own, enter “Ghetto Tech”. In their short existence, they’ve drawn comparisons to renowned acts such as Meshuggah and Dillinger Escape Plan, but with a notably Canadian attitude. After hitting Windsor’s Shark Tank Productions studio in July of 2014, The Apex have emerged glorious, with this, their debut self-titled full-length album. Big things to come!
