“I want to write riot music. Not nonsensical violent music, but that fed up with the bullshit I’m not gonna take it type music. I feel ‘No Respect’ really captured the direction lyrically I want to go,” said Animus Divine vocalist Chuck Clark. “I’m a blue collar guy like most of the world and tired of the gross amount of disrespect we get from authority or whatever it is that is lessening the value of someone’s self-respect and self-worth. So I’m ready to shove it back in their face, middle fingers up and not slave away for them anymore, Matt Good really helped us brighten that light we are trying to shine. I really hope everyone enjoys the track as much as we did making it.”
