Hot off the premiere of their new music video for the hit single “Gone Sovereign”, we are super-pleased to present you with this stream of Stone Sour’s entire new album, House of Gold & Bones Part 1. The new record is arguably the band’s best work to date and we expect it to fly off the proverbial shelves when it releases on October 22nd. Right from the opening, double track “Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero” (which set the tone for the new disc’s ridiculous slew of “sour” songs), House of Gold & Bones Part 1 hits hard and offers a truly diverse and wild array of twists and turns.
For those of you that don’t know, House of Gold & Bones Parts 1 & 2 is a collection of 23 tracks that follow an immersive, linear storyline. Again, Part 1 – the first 11 songs – will be released on October 22, 2012 while Part 2 will be released next year, completing the story. The songs set the tone and follow the action, but House of Gold & Bones is a multimedia experience. Videos, an online presence, album packaging, the live show and even a graphic novel will all follow and expand on the story. It’s a lofty undertaking, but Stone Sour have never shied away from a challenge. With them, it’s par for the course. Pre-order the album today RIGHT HERE.
