Malevolence – “Slithering” [Free Download] [Exclusive]
After eighteen years together, Malevolence are still making music and growing in popularity. The band was formed in 1994 by lead singer and guitarist Carlos Cariano and have helped define the extreme metal sound in their homeland of Portugal. Their introductory demo recording Pleasure of Molestation was released and distributed independently and sold one thousand copies worldwide. Soon they would sign with Danger Records (1995), the label that subsequently supported the release of two full-length albums. The band was finally on its way to notoriety!
The Skinny: After eighteen years together, Malevolence are still making music and growing in popularity. Fast forward to 2012 and Malevolence are still relevant and releasing new music. The band’s third full-length album Antithetical was produced entirely by Cariano on his own in the early part of the year while mixing and mastering was handled by V. (Triptykon, Obscura, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studio. Antithetical is a large achievement for the group as it stands out as being one of the most volatile, ambitious and impossible-to-aptly-categorize records that you’ll ever come across. From said album, check out this exclusive free download of the song “Slithering”.
