The9thCell – “Galga de Zebra Ilesa” [Album Stream] [Exclusive World Premiere]
The9thCell is a project that has been in development since 2005. That was the year that David Pais started his own solo project and called it Mig before coming up with The9thCell due to copyright issues. Right off the bat, Pais started writing and recording three albums between 2005 and 2006. The debut disc contains seventeen songs of progressive metal that cross all genres and barriers such as electronica, hard rock, orchestral and industrial. The project went on something of a hiatus between 2007 and 2009 when Pais moved to Lisbon, Portugal and started again working on The9thCell.

The project has been going strong ever since and now Pais has written and recorded Galga de Zebra Ilesa. This record is darker, heavier, slower and more furious than any of The9thCell’s previous work. There are a number of guest stars, including several Portuguese musicians and two of the album’s songs are performed entirely in Portuguese. This is the first The9thCell album to be on a record label, Infektion Records, and to date it is Pais’ best work.
