44 Fires are a new metal group that draws its inspirations from the differing genres that each of the members grew up listening to. From Corrosion of Conformity and Pantera, to Rage Against The Machine and Soundgarden, the members grew up on a healthy dose of metal and early ’90s alternative rock. You could say that 44 Fires are a conglomeration of these different influences and their main goal is to bring the noise, and start ripping up stages all over the world with their own brand of metal.

The Skinny: 44 Fires are a new metal group that draws its inspirations from the differing genres that each of the members grew up listening to. From Corrosion of Conformity and Pantera, to Rage Against The Machine and Soundgarden, the members grew up on a healthy dose of metal and early ’90s alternative rock. You could say that 44 Fires are a conglomeration of these different influences and their main goal is to bring the noise, and start ripping up stages all over the world with their own brand of metal.

The group would evolve into its present form thanks to their desire to return to their musical roots. Guitarist Jay and drummer Aaron had been in several different bands with very eclectic sounds, from Britpop to thrash metal. Realizing that being in essentially cover bands was no way to glory, Jay and Aaron teamed up with Brian from the band No Silent Order and Dan from another local cover band. Soon after, 44 Fires was born! The guys will be gigging throughout the rest of the year and recording new material as often as they can. As a sample of their new self-titled EP, here’s a stream of the song “Corporate Lies”.
