Album Review
Face All Fears – “Two Years To Live” [EP]
Massachusetts has long since been a breeding ground for hot metal acts. Bands such as Ligeia, Killswitch Engage, The Red Chord and All That Remains have continually pounded out song after amazing song. Two Years To Live is the first release from new metalcore act Face All Fears and is yet another reason why Massachusetts is deserving of the reputation of being a premiere metal community.

This EP begins with the track “Outcast” which is overflowing with breakdowns and shouting. If you’ve listened to this release, you may notice a familiar lead voice. If you haven’t figured it out yet keep thinking about it… guest vocal are performed by Vincent Bennett (The Acacia Strain). Pay attention when listening to the chorus on the second track, “Descending,” as well. You’ll soon realize that Face All Fears’ lead vocalist is none other than Keith Holuk (Ligeia). Moreover, when the title track comes on you’ll hear yet another guest… Frankie Palimeri (Emmure). All this aside however, the album is good display and bodes well for these newcomers.
Two Years To Live is a rad EP that people should dig. One question which arises however, (seeing as they’re both on this recording) is whether Vincent Bennett and Frankie Palimeri are now cool with each other? Hopefully their feud is over, as both vocalists are amazing. That said, neither of them, in my opinion, are as good as Keith Holuk! It’s great to see he’s doing another project. Fans of The Acacia Strain, Emmure, Unearth and Ligeia will want to breakdown to Two Years To Live. [ END ]
