Impending Doom – “There Will Be Violence”
There Will Be Violence is the third and newest release from Impending Doom. As can be expected from the band this is an exceptionally heavy, tremendously powerful, face-melting, blistering aural battering.
There Will Be Violence is the third and newest release from Impending Doom. As can be expected from the band this is an exceptionally heavy, tremendously powerful, face-melting, blistering aural battering.
Impending Doom come out of the box swinging on the opening instrumental track, “Hell Breaks Loose” and the battering does not let up until the very last song, “Sweating Blood.” Sandwiched between these two songs are eight other unbelievably punishing metal tunes that are fast, heavy and designed for one thing; getting the listeners neck snapping for the duration, (just over 34 minutes).
Truthfully, there is no filler to be found here, just pure raw metal that is sure satisfy metal heads everywhere. Favorite tracks of mine on this disc include another instrumental track “Love Has Risen” and molten metal tune “Orphans,” both of which are really amazing songs that rock so hard I almost broke a sweat listening to them. Other notable mentions are “Sweating Blood” and “Walk Through Fire.”
The buzz around these guys is continually growing and I was looking forward to this disc for a while now. Let me tell you, Impending Doom deliver the goods in a big way. They have come a long way from their first release Nailed, Dead, Risen with this top-notch release. I am certain There Will Be Violence is going to solidify the band as a force to be reckoned within the extreme metal world. [ END ]
