All Time Low – “Everything Is Fine” [Song Review]
All Time Low have released a new single via Fueled By Ramen called “Everything Is Fine” and it’s an exciting, beachy pop-punk tune that is set to be a summer staple.
For the past 24 hours, pop-punk band All Time Low have been teasing something… On the band’s socials, as well as those of each individual member, a photo was posted stating “Everything Is Fine.” If you’re an ATL fan, nothing was fine because this was terribly tantalizing. We now know that this meant new music. Since the group’s signing with indie heavyweights, Fueled By Ramen (Paramore, twenty one pilots), their sound took a turn for not necessarily the worst, but into territory for which acts signed to said label are notorious. Despite that, ATL’s new tune has reassured long-time fans that everything is indeed fine.
Though their last offering, Last Young Renegade, did not sit as well with fans due to a change in both the music and production, this new single brings back the sound they do best. Despite the song offering nothing lyrically-groundbreaking, (as vocalist Alex Gaskarth usually does), it has returned a sound fans haven’t heard since 2015’s Future Hearts, and it is riveting.
The track is an exciting, beachy pop-punk tune that is set to be a summer staple. With this surprise change in sound after their most recent release, here’s to hoping that it’s a return to a more pop-punk-influenced sound. Only time will tell, but for now, this song rips! If you plan on attending their upcoming tour with Dashboard Confessional, you best hope that this’ll be on their setlist.
