Folk Rockers THE GHIBERTINS Streaming Deluxe Edition of ‘The Less I Know the Better’ Album [Exclusive Premiere]
Milan, Italy’s alternative folk rock trio, The Ghibertins, are streaming their album The Less I Know the Better which just dropped today!
Not quite where you might expect to find some absolutely stunning alternative folk rock, Milan, Italy’s trio The Ghibertins have just released their album The Less I Know the Better (grab a copy of the Deluxe Edition via iTunes here. The beautiful album is an emotional listen and we’re thrilled to help the guys debut it in it’s entirety!
We were able to connect with the band for an exclusive quote about the album. Here’s what they had to say:
“When writing this album, we drew inspiration from a song by the Manic Street Preachers, which Alessio listened to as a teenager, entitled “If you tolerate this then your children will be next”. The song hit the charts in the year 1998 and at the time we felt that the ‘children’ were our generation. As children it was naive and too easy for us to think that in 20 years’ time our generation would be living in a truly different world. Now though, that we’ve passed over to the other side of the barricade, this song is sadly more relevant today and does not sound like a warning any longer but rather a condemnation. “The Less I Know The Better” aims not to provoke but to communicate. It wants all the people who seek comfort in daily routines and who ignore the global geopolitical situation, to awaken from the numbness, in the hope that the bill will never be presented. The title of the album was born out of the following reflection; That which I cannot see, cannot occur. That which I cannot hear, cannot be communicated to me.”
