The Sunset Shipwrecks, which features Ryan and Scott from American Steel, have shared a stream of their song “Your Love Keeps Me Whole” online – listen to it above. The Bay Area-based band retains the anger of American Steel (a lot of their new album is about the Bay Area’s gentrification), but the music leans more toward proto metal/boogie riff-based rock.
The Sunset Shipwrecks will release Community on May 27 via Ryan’s Lugosi Records imprint. If you are a fan of American Steel, you’d probably also appreciate knowing that legendary producer, Kevin Army (who did pretty much every awesome album for Lookout! Records early days), came out of retirement to engineer the album!
