Recently we had the opportunity to catch up with American pop recording artist, Emii. Read up on a lot of interesting things you may not have known about Emii.
Hi Emii! As this is your first interview with MaxMuzik, let’s start off with a little background. How did you get into music?
Emii: I didn’t get into music. It got into me.
For our readers who’ve never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words.
Emii: Stiletto-fabulous and really fracking fun.
Can you offer insight into some of your musical inspirations?
Emii: Michael Jackson, En Vogue, Elvis, Chrissie Hynde
Earlier this year, you released the music video for “Mr. Romeo”. What was that experience like for you?
Emii: It was very surreal. I am so thankful for the success of the video, along with the opportunity to share it all with my amazing fans.
The video has since received over 1.1 million views. What was your reaction/thought when you saw it pass one million?
Emii: Gratitude, and more inspiration to create more for the people who inspire me (my fans).
How was your experience working with Snoop Dogg? And who would you like to collaborate with in the near future?
Emii: Snoop is top dogg; Coolest cat ever. I would love to work with him again.
If you could open up for an artist right now, who would it be and why?
Emii: Iyaz. I met him at NRJ Music Tour in Beirut, Lebanon, and he was a seriously great guy.
Speaking of shows, what are you touring plans for the rest of the year?
Emii: I’m currently finishing up new songs for my album, but I have a few shows planned in the US and overseas.
What artists would fans be surprised to find on your iPod?
