Sydney, Australia-based groove metal trio (featuring David Hart (vocals, guitar, drum programming, electronics), Luis Barra (bass, vocals), and Oz Slater (lead guitar)) Kunvuk, dropped their latest album, the six song Twitcher EP, on June 6th, 2014 via their own imprint, The Light of Damnation Records. The band had been touring extensively off their previous release, Consume Rapture, and eventually headed back into their own Shadow Mekanik Studios to begin work on what would become their third recording. Check out the kick-ass new track, “Waves”.
“We set out to write a huge batch of songs with the intent to pick the most promising tracks and work those up into a dense and multi-layered flurry of noise, intensity and groove” comments Hart. “We are going through a process of continually working to evolve our sound and with this EP we have made another leap forward introducing new elements and refining our established sound.” Front man David Hart manned the helm and ultimately recorded, engineered and mixed the Twitcher EP, but it was once again Alan Douches (Death, Swans, Mastodon, Converge, Baroness, etc.) at West West Side Music in New Windsor, New York who was in charge of mastering.
