PUP – “PUP” [YouTube Album Stream]
It’s been one hell of a Spring for Toronto punks, PUP. The band recently wrapped up their first full US tour and earlier this month, left SXSW in their dust with memorable performances alongside OFF!, The Black Lips and more. With just one week to go before their debut album comes out on April 8, today the band is streaming their entire new album via YouTube. To celebrate everything, PUP will return to NY for a Village Voice-sponsored record release show on April 12 at Brooklyn Night Bazaar with more bands to be announced soon.
The Skinny: It’s been one hell of a Spring for Toronto punks, PUP.
Across the pond, PUP has been receiving steady airplay from BBC Radio 1, was handpicked to perform at NME’s Award Show in February and will embark on a UK tour this May alongside garage rockers Pure Love (Gallows, Hope Conspiracy). Produced by Dave Schiffman (The Bronx, Weezer, Nine Inch Nails), PUP’s debut album is full of raw, frenetic energy and scream-along choruses. The record delivers catchy earworms from beginning to end.
