The Skinny: Christopher Lee Compton is no newbie when it comes to the gothic rock movement. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Compton has been writing and performing for over twenty years now, carefully working and crafting the sound of his band Frostbite. Recently Compton has returned with a new Frostbite record called Valentine and Other Stories of Hope.
Valentine and Other Stories of Hope drew its first breath in late 2009 with the mournful “Valentine”. As the song was just about completed, an overwhelming desire to continue was born. This painful, dark and, at times, haunting compilation of tracks is the fruit of that desire. The album is full of dark inspirations and will be highly pleasing to any fan of dark or gothic metal. From the record comes the song “My Darkest Dream” which is available here for free download! Check out the song and you might be feeling a little more “gothic” afterwards.
