Project 6 Festival x Rinse 30th Anniversary Unveils Star-Studded Final Lineup
Experience the magic of Project 6 festival featuring the cutting-edge sounds and artists from Hip-Hop, Grime, Garage, Dubstep, and House.
Commencing the celebration of Rinse FM’s 30-year cultural legacy, I believe there is no better pairing than the highly anticipated return of Project 6 festival. Join us at South London’s Brockwell Park on May 24th to soak up the vibes of this exciting collision of cutting edge sounds. Project 6 is undoubtedly London’s most exciting festival after only 1 year in the game, as a result of their unique night to day experience. Last Summer attendees had the pleasure of witnessing Ghetts, Mala & Joe Armon-Jones and Goldie to name a few.
Project 6 offers some of the biggest names in the worlds of Hip-Hop, Grime, Garage, Dubstep, House and UK funky. The recently unveiled complete lineup includes Grime royalty Nines who promises a showcase of classics such as “CR” and “Intro” alongside tracks from his latest project Crop Circle 3. Followed by my personal favourite Freddie Gibbs and Madlib as a part of their Piñata 10 year anniversary tour. This album arguably exhibits the greatest collaboration in the past decade of Hip-Hop and is not one to be missed. Rivalling Gibbs for the position of “Coke Rap King” is Pusha T who will also grace Brockwell Park this May.
Cassisdead and Unknown T will undoubtedly be repping London as two of the most captivating MCs hailing from the city. British rap star AJ Tracey, a man with several big hits to his name and a pair of superb albums is the most recent addition. His storytelling style and witty rhythms are second to none over beats that mix up the best of British grime, garage, hip hop and more.
Fighting the good fight for great tunes and immaculate vibes are Mala, DJ boring, DJ seinfeld, DJ stingray 313 and countless others. Other headliners include frequent collaborator of Sampha, SBTRKT. The baddest of them all, Eliza Rose and established junglist Shy FX.
Project 6 is not shy of reputable acts however the beauty of this event lies within the unknown. Guests have the opportunity to stumble upon endless genre bending and innovative artists who remain relatively unknown. Amplifying underground sounds is a key value of Rinse FM so it is great to see these values prevail 30 years on.
