Download Festival 2023 Announces the District X Lineup!
Of course, Download would not be complete without the alternative activities beyond that of the arena; enter District X!
In just a few short weeks, headbangers from across the UK (and from around the world) will make the holy pilgrimage to the hallowed ground of Donington Park for Download Festival. This year is also set to be the biggest yet, spanning over four days to celebrate 20 years since its inception.
Of course, Download would not be complete without the alternative activities beyond that of the arena; enter District X! The recently announced lineup could be a festival in itself, boasting DJ sets from The Blackout, Nova Twins, Zoe London, Daniel P Carter, Wargasm and Alyx Holcombe (just to name a few). Also, there will be live podcasts, a comedy lineup and secret band sets that will be announced daily, ensuring those early birds can start the party early on Wednesday as soon as the tent is pitched and that first can of festival-warm larger is cracked.
This is not the only addition to Download 20, however! With onsite collaborations with Mary Wyatt, Download Lava (Lou’s Hot Sauce) and Parabellum, all of which can be found in the Download Megastore, where you can also get your hands on Download garden gnomes (I mean, how could you not?).
Finally, it’s important to take some chill time in between all the headbanging, and the chill-out space is perfect for relaxing with mates, taking in the atmosphere, and even getting your hands on arcade games to play.
Honestly, with everything going on in District X, do you even need to head to the arena for Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot and Metallica? Well, yes! Yes, you do, but it’s nice to have options. Furthermore, with club nights hosted by Uprawr, Facedown and Girl Power, the message is clear, you don’t have to go home; you can stay here and party at District X!
For more details added all the time, head to the Download website for all the information you’ll ever need to make Download 20 a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Or don’t and raise those devil horns high and go with the flow!
