80s Icons Duran Duran Bring Some Rio Glitz to Manchester AO Arena [Photos]
80s pop icons Duran Duran brought their glitzy pop anthems to a packed Manchester AO Arena. Check out the photo gallery from the show here.
If you want to spend an evening getting an 80s British pop masterclass then there is no better band to satisfy your itch than electro-pop icons Duran Duran. The band is currently trekking around packed-out arenas across the UK delivering a set of absolute pop bangers including “Girls On Film”, “Wild Boys”, “Reflex” and many more.
Still on the road supporting their 2021 album, Future Past, the Simon Le Bon led outfit managed to slot in a few tracks from the album including “Give It All Up” and “Invisible”. That being said, while the new material shows a band who are still at the top of their game, alongside the likes of “Notorious” and set closer “Rio”, there really is no contest.
Supported by Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters fame, who brings with him an armoury of disco/rock classics from the New York pop-rockers catalogue, Saturday night saw the 80s generation bring their glitz and glamour to Manchester.
We sent Maryleen Photography along to join the masses in Manchester and she brought back this gallery of photos.
