Mapping The Sky Releases “Here And Not Here” Music Video
Oklahoma rock band Mapping The Sky has released the music video for “Here And Not Here,” the title track to their new album.
Born and bred in Norman, Oklahoma, rock n’ roll newcomers Mapping The Sky have released a new song and video for “Here And Not Here.” The song is the title track from their upcoming debut album out on May 2nd.
Powder keg guitars echo through the verses as singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jordin Swanson ponders a relationship in a tailspin.
Swanson shares:
“The stars look close together when you stare at them at night. In reality, though they are extremely far from each other, millions and millions of light years. There is a sense of loneliness there, a sense of distance and coldness. Like most people, I’ve been in relationships that have fallen apart. It’s a strange situation to sit next to somebody… to feel their breath on your shoulder, to feel their skin on your skin, but know that they are hopelessly far from you, to know you won’t reach them, to know there’s a distance you can’t get past.”
Mapping The Sky’s debut album delivers an edgy hybrid of melody, rhythm, rock, and grunge-pop that is reminiscent and fresh. Pre-order Here and Not Here and receive instant downloads of four album tracks upon release.
