Frayed Ends BC Exude Irish Pride with Their “With Dignity” Video Premiere
Frayed Ends BC are beaming with Irish pride with the premiere of their new music video for “With Dignity” from their latest EP, ‘Strive.’

The riffs, the breakdowns, the intensity, it’s what the doctor ordered, and here to deliver it is Frayed Ends BC. This group of Irish lads are gracing us with their presence today with the debut of their “With Dignity” music video. The song is from their new EP Strive, which coincidentally sees its official release today.
The video clip is simple but brutal, reminiscent of the style of many ’90s hard rock and hip-hop videos. It takes you right to the streets of Belfast, showcasing many local landmarks in and around the band’s area. This includes a look at the Tivoli Barber Shop, a well-known local spot with lots of tradition. It’s known as one of Belfast’s oldest original barber shops, and it certainly suits the gritty tone that the band has gone for with this song and video.
One of the cornerstones of Irish culture is pride, and that’s ultimately the message behind this song. As singer Eddie Cross explains:
“This song is basically about keeping your head held high no matter how hard things get. Our music is all to do with real-life problems like mental health, class divides or oppression and it’s problems we’ve all faced. The lyric, ‘Think about where I come from every fucking day with dignity’ is a reminder that no matter what your upbringing is, you should always try to be the best you can.”
Cross formed Frayed Ends BC during the pandemic lockdown times with guitarist Robbie Beckett. They recorded their debut EP, Belfast Hardcore, as a duo, which features guest appearances from members of Acid Age, Congenital Abnormalities, and At Their Mercy. Strive is their most definitive work, composed as the rest of their lineup developed. In the fall of 2022, drummer Deane Montgomery, guitarist Steve Martin, and bassist Zac McBride came on board. This got the ball rolling when recording new music, and they recorded Strive.
Strive has a more modern and aggressive sound than its predecessor. The band is excited to reveal this evolved sound as they begin to play more live dates. Their goal for the rest of this year is to go across the mainland UK and become more entrenched within the larger Hardcore scene. All the ducks are in a row for this to be a breakout year for Frayed Ends BC.
