Thy Art Is Murder Part Ways with Vocalist CJ McMahon; Vocals Re-Recorded on ‘Godlike’

It’s been a tough few weeks for Australian deathcore heavyweights Thy Art Is Murder following the backlash after controversial comments made by vocalist CJ McMahon.

Distancing themselves from the vocalist and his comments, the band have now issued a statement confirming that they have indeed parted ways with the outspoken frontman. The statement comes following the release of their new album, Godlike, and sees the band revealing that, for the album, his vocals were re-recorded by an as-yet-unnamed vocalist.

The statement also sees the Australian band confirming that the unknown vocalist will be joining the band on their upcoming European tour which kicks off next month and sees the deathcore outfit joined by Whitechapel, Fit For An Autopsy and Spite.
