Superlove Release Cover of Enter Shikari’s “Arguing With Thermometers”
As part of Rude Records ‘Changing Tides’ series, Superlove have released their cover of Enter Shikari’s “Arguing With Thermometers”…
Noise:pop purveyors Superlove have revealed their blistering cover of Enter Shikari’s top track “Arguing With Thermometers” as part of Rude Cares’ Changing Tides compilation album.
To accompany the track release, the band have shared a live session of their cover, which you can watch here:
Changing Tides will feature more Rude Records artists that have recorded cover songs on environmental topics to raise their voices for a more sustainable environment. With each song, profits will be donated to the cause of “raising awareness and making the world a better place” through music. 100% of the funds raised through Changing Tides will go to Sea Shepherd.
Talking about Changing Tides and their cover, Superlove say:
“So it’s no secret that Enter Shikari are one of the main inspirations for our band and the music we write. As soon as Rude Records asked us to be part of the Changing Tides campaign and to select a song to cover that tackled climate change as a subject, Arguing With Thermometers was the first song that came to mind and we all agreed straight away with no deliberation as it felt 100% right.”
The band continue: “It was such a fun process to record the cover too on-top of the subject matter being so strong. The song’s arrangement is just incredible so we hope we could do it some justice as well as reinforcing such an important message.
We really feel like we hit the jackpot in signing with Rude Records as they continue to put out great music independently whilst looking after us as a band so well whilst doing amazing work with their charity Rude Cares, they really are setting an example and leading the way in how much further Record Labels can take their music while pushing positive change and doing excellent charity work. We’re so happy to have contributed in a small way, we hope you love the cover!”
