Amble Haunt’s ‘Empty Lot’ EP is Far from Hollow
Kansas City-based indie rock band Amble Haunt recently released their debut EP Empty Lot, and it’s an incredibly thoughtful collection of songs, oozing with intentionality.
The group, which is comprised of Bryce Veazey (vocals/guitar) and Brandon Woodall (drummer), has found a way to create a sound that is somehow simultaneously so beautifully raw and yet so beautifully lush.
“Songwriting for me is a self exploration. While I want the end product to be entertaining and enjoyable for those who listen, I’m also trying to release things that can’t be easily spoken.”
In Bryce’s words about the EP, he says:
“Empty Lot deals with questions of intentionality. What are you aiming at? how are you going about the accomplishment of goals? What do those intentions mean to not only yourself, but those around you? These are questions I was posing to myself as I was finishing the lyrical content and motivations for each song.”
The EP carries a lot of weight, but certainly doesn’t weigh you down, and makes for a quality listen from top to bottom. Listen to Empty Lot by Amble Haunt—now streaming everywhere.
