The Mary Wallopers Confirm Debut North American Tour Dates
Ireland’s The Mary Wallopers are excited to announce their debut North American tour, including Toronto and New York.
Ireland’s The Mary Wallopers are excited to announce their debut North American tour. Their live performances are renowned across the UK and Ireland for their raucous spirit, living up to their reputation as “The Clancy Brothers meets Dead Kennedys.” Tickets are on sale now, and all dates are listed below.
The 7-piece band released their debut self-titled album in the fall of 2020 to rave reviews. It was just nominated for Irish Album of the Year alongside Dermot Kennedy and Fontaine DC.
The Mary Wallopers is the culmination of several years of the Wallopers touring all corners of Ireland, collecting traditional songs before dusting them down and reimagining them in their Dundalk rehearsal space. The result is a record that perfectly channels an island’s musical history while never once sounding overawed by the task at hand.
The Mary Wallopers Tour Dates:
March 12 – Union Stage – Washington, DC
March 13 – Foundry @ Fillmore – Philadelphia, PA
March 15 – Sonia – Boston, MA
March 18 – Bowery Ballroom – New York, NY
March 20 – Drake – Toronto, ON – SOLD OUT
