Reading Indie Rockers Third Lung Premiere Courageous New Single “Lo-Hi”
A last-minute addition to their upcoming new album, indie band Third Lung is premiering the video to ‘Lo-Hi’ right here.
Reading indie band Third Lung were all set with ten songs prepared for their debut album Game Play. Pre-production was completed and the band was ready to start recording when producer Michael Smith RYP (Wolf Alice, Anteros) suggested that the record needed one more track, telling the band the album needed a cut like U2‘s “Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own.”
The seed was planted! Tom began writing and brought what he had to the band the next day. The four, who have been together for over 5 years, put their minds to creating what they believe is one of their strongest tracks to date and V13 is now ready to premiere the brilliant new track, “Lo-Hi.”
Speaking about the inspiration behind the new single, the band explain:
“‘Lo-hi’ speaks to the struggles and battles one person can go through. Sometimes finding themselves alone not knowing how to move forward. Until they find the courage to ask and faith in their friends and loved ones to utter the 3 most beautiful words, I Need Help. One of life’s most encouraging yet hardest lessons to learn is to trust the people closest to you, with you.”
This was reflected during the track’s journey from the rehearsal room to the Mastering suite at Metropolis Studios, London. 17 years after first recording an EP with a former outfit, Cams and Tom would return to the powerhouse where they once recorded under the label The New Black (Jack Stevens & Pete Hatfield) working alongside producer Adrian Hall (Tori Amos, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, The Black Eyed Peas). Having always kept in touch with Adrian over the years Tom, Cam’s and the team decided to reach out to Adrian to mix the single version of “Lo-hi.”
You can pick up your copy of “Lo-Hi” right here. Game Play is set for release in November 2022.
