Megadeth has not only confirmed their forthcoming studio recording, ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! but also debuted the lead single “We’ll Be Back.” The band’s twelve-track sixteenth album drops on September 2nd, via UMe. The new song is now online everywhere and is accompanied by “We’ll Be Back: Chapter I,” an action-packed short film chronicling the origins of Megadeth’s mascot, Vic Rattlehead.
The Dave Mustaine-produced album sees the musician and throat cancer survivor work with co-producer Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Parkway Drive), guitarist Kiko Loureiro, drummer Dirk Verbeuren, and bassist Steve DiGiorgio. Since the album’s recording at Mustaine’s home studio in Nashville, Tennessee, James LoMenzo rejoined the band as their permanent bassist.
Mustaine comments, stating:
“For the first time in a long time, everything that we needed on this record is right in its place. I can’t wait for the public to get hold of this!”
