Ambient Jazz Ensembleshare, the project of acclaimed composer, writer and producer Colin Baldry, drops “Locked,” the second single from the forthcoming studio recording, London Fields. The album is due on July 8th via Here & Now Recordings.

Commenting on the new song, Baldry states:

“I wanted the apparition in the painting to personify the relationship and to describe its ghost beckoning and tempting us back to it, despite our acceptance that it is doomed.”

Adding more context about the album London Fields, Baldry says:

“I’ve been walking the streets, rediscovering its parks, canals, the architecture, the river, plus experiencing new music in London is always a joy. . . . London Fields is an anticipating, cinematic and ambient capturing of a still city where there is ‘electricity in the air,’ a place that is terrifying and exciting in equal measures, drawing on its erratic nature of city life and the juxtaposition between the urban pace and awe inspiring beauty that exists in pockets all over London. My very definition of ‘London Fields.’”
