Arkells – “Never Thought This Would Happen” [Song Review]
“Never Thought This Would Happen” is the first single from the upcoming new record (due out in Summer of 2014) by Canadian rockers Arkells. Upon first play I was immediately caught up in the hypnotic, driving baseline and couldn’t help but move to the beat.

Super-melodic vocal lines and a catchy chorus repeating, amongst other lines, “And I… never thought this would happen” round things out making this an infectious, fun song that will be the perfect accompaniment for those upcoming, warm Summer night get-togethers. If this single is any indication, the forthcoming album is going to be a party; I am anxious to hear more new Arkells in the near future.
