Sloan are set to release their first set of rarities. ‘B Sides Win’ is a 26-song collection now available via Sloan’s official website and online store at www.sloanmusic.com. Jay Ferguson delivered the news on the band’s official website as follows:
“Hello Hello, Dig, if you will. We’re pleased to offer you the latest release on our digital Sloan store, the self explanatory collection named “B Sides Win: Extras, Bonus Tracks and B-Sides 1992-2008″. 26 tracks! $9.99! …and a new digital booklet with track by track commentary from Andrew, Chris, Patrick and myself.”
“These are songs that didn’t appear on any of our commercially released Canadian LPs over the years. Instead, they surfaced on compilations, as extras tracks on the Japanese versions of our albums, as B-sides to vinyl and CD singles and other tucked away corners. A number of these tracks were added on to their appropriate digital LPs when we launched our online store last autumn.”
“Due to insanely screaming demand and some gentle prodding, we’ve decided to collect those tracks (along with even more) and give them their very own album. Now, some hardcore Sloan followers may notice a couple omissions…but fear not, you completists!… we’re hopefully planning for those specific tracks to see the light of day on our digital store as part of more releases in the future. At the edge of the scene, Jay”
