THE MAGPIE SALUTE Gaze at the “Sister Moon” with Their Latest Track and Stream
Check out The Magpie Salute’s latest track “Sister Moon,” from their debut studio album High Water I.
Check out The Magpie Salute’s latest track “Sister Moon,” from their debut studio album High Water I. High Water I was produced by Rich Robinson and recorded at Dark Horse Studios in Nashville. The album represents a sonic union of rock n’ roll swagger, psychedelic blues and campfire storytelling. The writing of the album first got started all the way back in 2016 when Robinson got the band together for a now seminal Woodstock gig.
Commenting on the track, guitarist Marc Ford commented, “Sister Moon’ came from John and I staying in a house together. We lived together 24 hours a day for ten days. We would just sit, poke at the fire, and tell stories. Many ideas came from that. That’s how ‘Sister Moon’ started. It’s so vibe-y and beautiful. John and I had never met before. The track is like us meeting.”
