Don’t be “Alone Tonight” with the New Single from Toronto Band PONY
Canadian pop/indie rockers Pony has shared new song “Alone Tonight” off their upcoming 7 inch.
Toronto band Pony has released “Alone Tonight”, a song from their Buzz Records debut 7 inch, due out on May 12th. The track is the second single from the release, following lead single “DIY”.
Vocalist Sam Bielanski commented: “I wrote ‘Alone Tonight’ when I was in a super codependent/comfortable relationship. We would literally do the exact same thing every day, which included watching 5 or 6 episodes of Dragons’ Den on Netflix. I realised that we had absolutely nothing to talk about anymore and we just watched TV all the time to kind of hide the fact that maybe we weren’t ‘meant to be.’ It’s very much about how in the end I realised being alone, as scary as it was at the time, was way better than settling for someone who I basically just watched TV with.”
