The Skinny: Seaway is prepping for the release of their sophomore album, Colour Blind, on October 23rd via Pure Noise Records, and has premiered a brand new song called “Best Mistake.”
Said guitarist Andrew Eichinger: “The idea for ‘Best Mistake’ originally came from a deep cut demo that didn’t make ‘All In My Head’ but that we still really liked. We re-worked it a ton and completely turned the song around into one of our favourite songs to date. The song is about the events surrounding an instance where you find or stumble upon someone almost by mistake but then ultimately realize that it was never really a mistake at all and actually a perfect situation.”
Seaway’s upcoming record, Colour Blind, was produced by Derek Hoffman and Alan Day, and it features 12 upbeat, fist-pumping punk rock songs that are arguably the best the band has made to date. Catch the band next month when they kickoff their fall tour with Knuckle Puck, Sorority Noise and Head North in support of the new album.
