The Skinny: We’ve teamed up with the Australian hard rockers Tragic Earth to help them premiere their new single “Obsessive Depressive”, off their forthcoming self-titled EP, out March 31st. Drawing inspiration from artists like Black Sabbath, Motley Crüe, KISS, and Stone Sour, Tragic Earth takes party rock instrumentals and mixes them with deep, heartfelt lyrics. Their blend of classic 1980s rock and heavy metal is just plain old infectious!
SF Media praised the band’s abilities, saying, “These guys punch out a raucous style of heavy Aussie pub rock, but it’s also pub rock with a difference. Sure, you can very comfortably swagger and sway your drunken way around the dancefloor/pit of a sweaty, sticky carpeted pub to this. But this band inject a little raunch and a little boogie into their sound as well, and this sets them apart from the tired, soundalike Aussie rock mob.”
