Robots and Monsters is an unsigned 3-piece metal/hardcore band – featuring members Dylan Gadino (drums/vocals), Derek Gadino (guitar), and Bill Bergmann (bass) – from Rochelle Park, NJ that has a long list of influences ranging from Cavalera Conspiracy, Slayer and Iron Maiden to Quicksand, Bad Religion, and Alice in Chains. The might have come together as recently as the Fall of 2013, but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing original music. Check out this free download of their song “Down to Ash”.
Down to Ash, Robots and Monsters’ debut album, is exactly what these three longtime friends have been working towards. It’s more serious than their past projects and is the perfect summation of their influences and point in their careers thus far. Down to Ash is 8 songs that are, as they put it, “steeped in East Coast hardcore aesthetics and filtered through accessible arrangements… Also, there’s a song about Star Wars.” We think you’ll dig these dudes.
