Beartooth brought the “Sunshine” to a rainy Sunday night at House of Blues in Boston, MA, on January 21, 2024. Bands, Sleep Theory, Invent Animate and The Plot in You joined the tour for a blazing night.
Sleep Theory started the night off with a seven-song set, and included songs like “Fallout,” “Enough,” “Stuck in my Head,” and their debut single, “Another Way.” The Tennessee rock band performed for twenty-five minutes, and they warmed up the crowd for the rest of the night.
Up next was metalcore band Invent, Animate, who came on stage wearing all white and shredded their stuff. The band gave a solid performance for the night! Opening with “False Meridian” and “Shade Astray,” they played a six-song set. Fan favorites like “Heavener” and “Without a Whisper” had the audience singing along with vocalist Marcus Vik.
Following Invent, was The Plot in You. They came out playing their newer songs, “Divide” and “Paradigm.” During the eleven-song set, they played old and new songs like “Enemy,” “Troll,” “The One You Loved,” “Disposable Fix,” and “Feel Nothing.” During “Feel Nothing,” the whole crowd was screaming along to the chorus and there was an endless stream of crowd surfers.
Lastly, headliners Beartooth came around. Caleb Shomo came to the front of the stage wearing shades and shirtless, and the roar of the crowd cheered for him to start their set. Caleb was all smiles as he paused dramatically before he began their song “Sunshine.” They played fourteen songs that night, including songs like “The Past is Dead,” “The Better Me,” “Disease,” “Hated,” their cover of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers, “Doubt Me” and “I Was Alive.”
During “Look the Other Way,” Caleb got all up close and personal and played the song in the middle of the crowd. Their encore were the songs “Riptide” and “In Between.” This was a great tour to get to see! If you have the chance to go see these bands, then get to the gig!
