Rising New York City alternative rock band Quarters of Change have released their brand new single “What I Wanted”. The song is available to stream and download now and comes accompanied by a visual for the track, produced by the band themselves, and directed by frequent collaborator Amyas Ryan.

“What I Wanted” is the first new release from Quarters of Change since their acclaimed 2022 LP Into The Rift (Deluxe), and sets the stage for more new music to come later this year.
Speaking about the song, lead vocalist Ben Roter shares, “We definitely brought some grunge to it, but also tapped into the swag of the seventies. It’s inspired by a relationship to a degree. You think you know what you want, but you get it and you don’t want it anymore. Finally, you realize you didn’t know what you wanted in the first place. I feel like everyone has felt that at one time or another.”
Next up for the band they take to the road for “The Quarters of Change Show” US tour, a 20-city trek which kicks off on September 14 in Virginia Beach, VA, wrapping up on December 9 with the band’s largest hometown show to date at New York City’s famed Webster Hall. Never Ending Fall, Rebounder, and Balu Brigada will provide support.
