P!nk Gets the “Summer Carnival” Party Started at University of Bolton Stadium [Photos]
Pop rock superstar P!nk kicks off her “Summer Carnival” European tour at the University of Bolton stadium. Check out the photos here…

Given the sea of neon pink illuminating the walk-up to Bolton’s University of Bolton, it’s almost impossible to ignore the signs that alt/pop royalty P!nk is in town to kick off her Summer Carnival European tour.
The tour sees P!nk supported by KidCutUp, who whips the crowd up with a setlist of pop and disco bangers, breakthrough singer-songwriter Gayle and hugely-adored Irish rockers The Script, who are making an emotional return to the stage following the death of guitarist and founding member Mark Sheehan.
By the time the video screens kicked into life, over thirty-five thousand fans were ready to “Get The Party Started,” so with the superstar dropping from the roof of the stadium and into the hit single of the same name, this Summer Carnival was well and truly underway.
Now, in terms of value for money, there can be very few fans walking away from the opening night disappointed. Performing a two-hour spectacle which was packed with high-energy dance routines, dazzling acrobatics, and theatrics, it’s hard to dispute that P!nk has mastered the art of putting on a real stadium spectacle.
As for the songs, P!nk writes the kind of pop smash hits that are built for shows like this one. Rolling out hit after hit from “Just Like A Pill” to newer tracks like “TRUSTFALL” and “Runaway.” From pop rock bangers to emotional numbers like “When I Get There,” it’s almost as if there isn’t anything the American superstar can’t turn her hand to.
Throwing in a few covers, including “No Ordinary Love” by Sade, the night turns into a family affair when P!nk’s daughter, Willow Sage Hart, joins her mother on stage to brilliantly wrap up “Cover Me In Sunshine.”
With plenty more acrobatics and stunning dance routines thrown in for good measure throughout the night, P!nk wraps up this sensational opening night with her hit single “So What!” Flying around the stadium on a zipwire to the delight of her fans, the Summer Carnival Tour party started in spectacular fashion.
